 Today's Status (Updated 11/30/2011):       Week of 1/23/2012 THERE ARE NO THROWING SESSIONS OR WORKOUTS  DUE TO MIDTERMS!  Winter strength and conditioning workouts have begun.   Also, starting January 3rd, there will be throwing for 7-10th graders at Minerva DeLand on Tuesdays and Thursdays (Check the schedule below):  8:00-8:45pm for 7-8th graders, and 8:45-9:30pm for 9-10th graders.  Please contact Coach Caputo for information or questions.  11th & 12th graders may be able to throw in the morning at the High School.  See Coach Reed for details. 

The Fitness Center at FHS will be available after school from November 14th through March 5th on Mondays (3:10-5:00pm) and Wednesdays (3:30-5:00pm).  On Monday, December 5th, Dr. Veenema will be at the Fitness Center at 2:20pm to go over The Throwers Ten Program.  

MD-FHS Shuttle Bus:  Bus #471 leaves Minerva at 2:15pm near the gymnasium. Shuttle Bus #412 leaves Minerva at 3:05pm.

NEW BOOSTER CLUB INFO:

To all Fairport Baseball Booster Club Members:

 Please keep Fairport Baseball in mind if you have any bottle and cans that you would like to donate. In an effort to continually improve the quality of the Varsity, JV and Freshmen Baseball Fields while enhancing the performance and safety of the players, the Fairport baseball Booster’s Club is collecting bottles and cans to be deposited at the EZ Bottle and Can Return. Any donations from the bottle accountant will be put into the 2012 initiative of a new batting cage for the Varsity and JV fields. The EZ Bottle and Can Return is located at 1259 Fairport Road in Fairport.  Please support our players by doing the following:

****Whenever you have empty bottles and cans to recycle, bring them to the EZ Bottle and Can Return and donate them in the Fairport Baseball Booster’s Club name *(sometimes it gets confused with Fairport Little League)

Since we have changed site layouts, there have been some bugs that need to be fixed.  If you come across a bug, please inform Coach Caputo and he will work on getting them remedied.

 Current Bugs:

1) The Top Menu for the teams doesn't match up with the schedule, roster, stats correctly.

Temporary Fix:  You can access the teams' information by clicking on their names directly under the "2010 Records" Box in the upper left.

2)  Pitching ERA is based upon 9 inning games, not 7 inning in the statistic section.  There currently is no fix set for this in the future this season.  More thorough/accurate stats will be kept by the coaches.  Can figure out 7 inning ERA with this formula: "(Earned Runs Scored x 7)/ Innings Pitched", if you wish to figure out the ERA on your own.

Outside Schedule: (UPDATED FOR THE 2011 SEASON)

Varsity and JV will be practicing each day from 3:30-5:30pm on the fields when games are not being played. 

Modified Red will practice Daily from 3:30-5:30 Outside or 5:00-6:30 inside.  Check the website for Daily Status

Modified Blue will practice Outside from 3:30-5:30 or inside from 3:30-5:00

Below is the RAINY day schedule for teams inside (Please read the Web-site for ANY changes daily)

Mondays: Varsity/JV: 4:45-6:15pm, Modified Red: 5:00-6:30pm, Modified Blue: 3:30-5:00pm

Tuesdays: Varsity/JV: 3:15-4:45pm, Modifed Red: 5:00-6:30pm,, Modified Blue: 3:30-5:00pm

Wednesdays: Varsity/JV: 4:45-6:15pm, Modified Red: 5:00-6:30pm, Modified Blue: 3:30-5:00pm

Thursdays: Varsity/JV: 3:15-4:45pm, Modifed Red: 5:00-6:30pm,, Modified Blue: 3:30-5:00pm

Fridays:  Varsity/JV: 4:45-6:15pm, Modified Red: 5:00-6:30pm, Modified Blue: 3:30-5:00pm

Saturdays: Varsity/JV: 8:00-10:00am, Modified Red: 10:00-12:00pm, Modified Blue: 8:00-10:00am

Shuttle Bus Schedule:

The following is the time schedule, bus # and location for our practices and game shuttle service.   This schedule may vary the first few days.  Please be patient.  If there is a problem, please contact my office. Do not contact the bus garage or get upset with the drivers.

Buses for team trips will be assigned by the Athletic Director on a priority basis; length of trip, team level, etc.
